🧩 Topic 1: Past Simple Tense (El pasado simple)

The Past Simple tense is used to talk about actions or situations that happened in the past and are finished.
We often use time expressions such as yesterday, last week, ago, in 2020, etc.
There are two main types of verbs:

Regular verbs, which end in –ed (walk → walked).

Irregular verbs, which have unique forms (go → went, see → saw).

El Pasado Simple se usa para hablar de acciones o situaciones que ocurrieron en el pasado y que ya terminaron.
Usamos expresiones como ayer, la semana pasada, hace..., o en 2020.
Hay dos tipos de verbos:

📘 Structure
Affirmative:
➡️ Subject + verb (past form) + complement
I visited my grandparents yesterday.
Negative:
➡️ Subject + did not (didn’t) + base verb
I didn’t visit my grandparents yesterday.
Question:
➡️ Did + subject + base verb + complement?
Did you visit your grandparents yesterday?

✅ I didn’t go to school. (Después de “didn’t” se usa la forma base del verbo).

With “will”
